BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide. This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

In a recent interview, the Sheriff renewed his proposal to place School Resource Officers (SROs) in every Loudoun County elementary school over the next four years. In that same appearance, he also highlighted the Sheriff’s Office’s cooperation with ICE.

Loudoun currently has 38 SROs. Other large districts in VA: Fairfax-59 Prince William-35 Virginia Beach City-30 Chesterfield-25 Henrico-21 Chesapeake-17 None of the above have SROs in their elementary schools. An additional 62 SROs in Loudoun would be a 5.5% increase in SROs in the entire state!
