The Trails in the Sky FC remake is SO GOOD, perfect JRPG comfort food! The animations do such a great job at characterization. The combat is confusing at first, but seems fun and challenges you even on Normal difficulty. Knowing FC, unless Falcom somehow fucks up later, this has strong GOTY vibes.

Nice, GuJian 4 got its first trailer: youtu.be/ZA57xZ6YB_o The trailer looks very Soulslike (1 & 2 were JRPG-like, 3 was kinda Witcher 3-ish), but the FAQ specifically says it is NOT a Soulike and it isn't hardcore - it's an Action-Adventure RPG about helping the dead solve their obsessions. Cool.

If you're a Dragon's Dogma sicko, it's worth downloading it and playing just to fight the cool bosses they added (you can get max level, play multiplayer & spawn bosses anywhere). It's crazy to me that they didn't add them in DD2. The dungeons are also quite fun.

Dragon's Dogma Online is back, baby! Translation and restoring content is still ongoing but there's a LOT of game there now running on unofficial servers. Still absolutely baffling that Capcom axed this one. Right in the middle with a big cross-promo event with the anime Overlord. Game owned.

Make sure your RPG battle transitions, scene composition, and attack animations are at least as cool as this Taiwanese DOS RPG from 1995

Stuff like Drakensang is older than Dragon Age but IMO aged far better visually. The artstyle has such a cozy fantasy vibe, but hide a complex rule system (The Dark Eye) and very satisfying menus.
