Celebrini is now on track to become the highest paid player starting in 2027, and he deserves it. He has thrived in demanding minutes with SJ, involving himself all over the ice, is a top 3 two-way transition player, and one of the best linemates a forward could ask for. (1/2)
MACKLIN CELEBRINI HAS SIGNED AN EXTENSION! 5-years at $18.8 million AAV. #SJSharks
The Zubcast trio is ripping some tennis and spikeball today. How are you Sens fans spending the offseason?
For all the talk about the winnipeg airport not existing, there’s always way more people here than at the ottawa
The Jason Robertson saga concludes... for now. Robo is somewhat of a unicorn, a top line piece with both elite scoring abilities and defensive impacts who can also progress against contact everywhere. Essentially the perfect complimentary piece for your prototypical #1 centre. 📊 lb-hockey.com
LET’S RUN IT BACK, ROBO ⭐️
Little bit more term than I expected but this is a very fair price point for both Utah and Marino, who pretty closely embodies the ideal support D. He thrives defensively whether in his own zone or against the rush, and moves pucks efficiently all over the ice. 📊 lb-hockey.com
Word is that John Marino, who was to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, is closing in on an 8x$6.75M extension with the Utahns
On vacation so little late to the Bedard 5x15M extension post. His offensive skills took that big step we all expected this season, turning into a top 20 C in our data, and one of the league's most dynamic rush threats & puck-movers, with even further room to grow. (1/2...)
Seriously the best fish snack there is, so fresh and buttery with a hint of oak smoke. Nothing like it

Net schedule impact on overall team xG. Estimates based on outputs of an RAPM model for the 2025-26 season. Included with and without time zone changes, because I'm less sure I'm capturing the impact correctly

Overwatch World Cup group draw happened today and it’s just hilarious Like you have the top 2 teams in their own groups, then arguably the next THREE best all together in group A Luckily it means Canada gets the easiest group of all time and actually have a chance making the quarters so I’m in!
Pretty much as close as you can get to a fair deal for both sides. Perfetti's projected worth is nearly 6M on the dot for the next 5 years in our model. The Jets forward has posted nice possession metrics and a good all-around game so far. Next step is an offensive breakout.
Hearing Cole Perfetti and the Winnipeg Jets avoid arbitration with a 5 x $6M AAV extension

Starting our descent now, if you want more vizzes you can get access to all of them at lb-hockey.com Should have a new Blueprints article coming soon too on defensive dimensions along with a dashboard dedicated to it so stay tuned for that!
Passing some time on a flight so let's do some lb-hockey.com requests. Any players, teams, lines on your mind?
The offensive production seemed to plateau for Bolduc this season, but it doesn't mean that the rest of his play did. The young Habs forward showed he could play a responsible play-driving role with checking ability throughout the year. Should be a pretty nice 3rd line piece for the future.
I'd be curious to see Zach Bolduc
Oh these are some good pulls, I'll focus on Carcone & Lizotte bc Gritsyuk gets more recognition. Pretty much polar opposites, Lizotte is essentially the ideal shutdown 3/4C, while Carcone is a rare bottom-6 winger who has made it as an offence-only guy thanks to his incredible finishing.
Michael Carcone, Blake Lizotte, Arseny Gritsyuk?
What might be most impressive to me about Demidov is how physically capable he already is. The net-front play will come and is definitely one of the heaviest portions of the game compared to other leagues, but in all other situations he's shown he can persevere and even create through contact.
Demidov 🤩
One of the best balanced young pieces in the game, Eklund's puck-moving is easily first-line worthy. He also posted strong shut down numbers in difficult minutes. Marked as one of the forwards most poised for a breakout in our model between his skills, smarts and finishing luck
LundBrothers!!
The opportunity on a rebuilding Vancouver team has worked out great for Karlsson. Scored around league avg in my model last season, and was even better in 2025-26. Was a demon around the crease and played a nice power game in tough minutes. Definitely thinking potential middle-sixer!
Linus Karlsson - one year wonder or potential middle sixer?
The current lineup's strength looks somewhat close to last season, and there's definitely some value hiding in how Green & co. shuffle the forwards around. Adding another scoring winger would allow them to align the group in a more traditional fashion. Maybe someone like Jared McCann?
How close are the Senators to improving on their ‘25-26 team?
