AI is not making open source better. It's not adding to the commons. It's eating projects and maintainers alive and digesting their work into incomprehensible, homogenous goo.

Allow me to be cautiously optimistic that there might be a warmer GitHub environment somewhere over the other side of raising the social cost to disruptive users.

So… I’m well aware that encode needs to catch up on the communication front and I’m working on that. In the interim we could really do with a little more funding to help through a bit of a transitional period. A seasons conference budget would be dearly appreciated / impactful right now.

Some of us would like to work on meaningful projects, together with friends and colleagues. There’s a weird neuroses in OSS land where that gets framed as “status games”.

Oooh I’d forgotten about advent of code. Might give that a go this time around. Any of y`all playing along?
