I’ve been bugged by the transformation of the term “late-stage capitalism” which first described a system in its final throes, its contradictions irresolvable, into today’s meaning, nearly the opposite, that describes a capitalism ever more pernicious in its ability to find resources to exploit.
I’m no @tamslick.bsky.social but here are a couple of automotive curiosities from the morning walk: a semi-restored early 60s Chevy Nova. (I drove a Nova wagon of this vintage, for a time, in a teal that matches this car’s primer.)
