Today is a sad day for me today as I lost my mother fifteen years ago today. My mother Patricia will forever be in our hearts. It's a tragic way she passed away as she was found Christmas morning lying in the snow outside her front door while my father and brother were in the house.

It's hard work having mental health issues and having to look after a wife who is blind, with kidney failure and severe mobility issues but I'm very grateful for my life and the wonderful people in it. #mentalhealthissues #malementalhelth

As a disabled person I am not “insulted” by the tiny number of folk circumventing the system… I’m insulted by disability benefits being less than a liveable amount. By the process being inaccessible and harming vulnerable people. By ableists making ableist assumptions.

Far too true. I'm a full time carer for my wife and have been paying into the system for some 34+years the same as my wife. Last week while Imputting my income and expenses, I made a small mistake and rectified it an hour later. However my wife's payment for tomorrow is now delayed.

Disabled people are more likely to be victims of financial abuse. And the Universal Credit system makes that even more likely by not allowing them to have money if they live with a partner who earns/has some savings. It's a horrifically abusive system.
