In the waiting room for a diagnostic mammogram and I am 100% sure they are playing a smooth jazz version of “Heard it Through the Grapevine.” All I can see in my head are dancing raisins. 🤦🏽‍♀️

This week, a (middle-aged, white dude) friend told me he finished reading Slip while on a work trip. Said he enjoyed it. But most importantly, he said he passed it on to a friend who has a daughter he thinks needs it. And THAT is why I wrote Slip.
