"@neon/sdk is fetch-based, zero dependencies and ESM-only. The raw client is generated from our OpenAPI spec with Hey API, so every endpoint maps one-to-one to a TypeScript function." Thank you for betting on Hey API, @neon.com!
I can't praise @skk.moe's contributions enough!
Welcome @skk.moe to the Hall of Fame! He's the mastermind behind the major performance improvements to our generators, including making them up to 40× faster for large specifications. Thanks for making Hey API faster for everyone! 🚀🚀🚀
GitHub stars never paid the bills, but they were a valuable signal and a data analytics gold mine. As of today, @github.com stars are worthless, and so is every product that relied on the Stargazers API. Ah, walled-garden ecosystems. Never change.
. @skk.moe has been absolutely on fire with optimizing our generator performance and deserves way more but it's a start
Thanks @heyapi.dev (HeyAPI.dev) for their generous sponsorship via GitHub Sponsors 🙏 Have been enjoying digging into the internals — made it 30x faster, then squeezed out another 15%, now another 15% performance gain is right on the horizon. Onward with Hey API🚀
Please support our new package openapi-python with a like on @npmx.dev, thank you! npmx.dev/package/@hey...

If you ever wrote a large configuration file before, this one is for you 🎁
Hey API now ships plugin type helpers. Finally, a cleaner way to split those large configuration files!

The goal with every release is to raise the bar on what’s possible. It’s not easy, but the final result will be worth it.
Still using Python 3.9? Hey API will let you choose your minimum supported Python version, so generated code can take advantage of newer language features.
It’s always nice to receive a notification that someone sent you money!
Delighted to welcome Unblocked as our newest sponsor. Thank you for sponsoring free and open source software!
2026 open source playbook: a/ raise $10M+, build the brand, get acquired b/ be independent, live in poverty I don’t make the rules.

We just donated to @heyapi.dev as part of our open source donation program! It's a TypeScript toolkit that turns your OpenAPI spec into a fully typed API for frontend and backend. We use it so much that one of our engineers, Yuri Mikhin, even built the NestJS plugin for it.
We donated to @pnpm.io as part of our open source donations program. It's the default package manager for many of our frontend engineers. The team behind the 11.0 release did an amazing job of securing pnpm against supply-chain attacks, making it one of the safest package managers out there.
Thank you @evilmartians.com for sponsoring Hey API. People like you make projects like this possible!
Turns out no feature is a small thing. Reverted in the latest release, back to the drawing board.
It’s the small things. before // after
I feel pretty good about this approach. That can only mean one thing – it'll get shredded to pieces by user feedback.
Authoring plugin configuration has always been verbose and painful, especially for deeply nested or complex options. The next release aims to solve this with a new, declarative approach. If you're writing custom plugins on top of Hey API, we'd love your feedback!
It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
The product strategy in a nutshell.
I’m sooo happy to see 5 different contributors in a single release for the first time, including the soothiest voice known to man in @kitlangton.bsky.social.
We are looking into a new `anyOf` action which would allow to create Valibot schemas such as: const Schema = v.pipe( v.string(), v.anyOf(v.email(), v.url()) ); PR: github.com/open-circle/...

Congratulations to Alex Rattray and Stainless on getting acquired by @anthropic.com! Hey API quite literally wouldn’t exist without you and your support over the years.
My favorite thing is comparing funding levels to various job positions. Right now, I’m about on par with a Wendy’s cashier.
Every docs page now shows the funding status. As alarming as it is, Hey API is easily one of the more sustainable projects.
