Alejandra Caraballo@esqueer.net · 4d agoCis people do not understand how much trans people's rights have regressed in just 5 years. 5 years ago, there were none of these restrictions. 19 states banned legal recognition 21 states have bathroom bans 8 states ban gender marker changes on DLs 25 ban gender affirming care for trans youth
I don't want to have to speak out, I just want to talk about my interests like games and movies. I'm just tired and exhausted and I've already been burned out from speaking about the issues trans people face over the years, it's only ever brought me pain and grief. Here's my tip jar if you like:

Like, you know there's an internal refugee crisis facing the US with trans people fleeing their home states, right? Can you understand why trans people might be more than a little on edge, stressed, angry because of the way we're treated? Perhaps extend a little understanding and empathy.
