Do you know of a higher ed dance programme that’s either been axed or restructured out of recognition? I’m thinking mainly UK context, but happy to hear of others. Or if/where it might be thriving. Please comment below if you have thoughts or experience. It’s for something I’ll be writing on soon.

When I set out to turn my research into a PhD, my hope was that the thesis would be useful to people invested or interested in kaḷarippayaṟṟ˘. So I was touched and thrilled today to find that someone had found it interesting enough to take the trouble to print it out for easier reading.

Hakama cleaning and folding rituals after yesterday’s British Aikido Federation course in Cardiff. These (totally impractical) training garments stand both for relative status (or gender) and also submission to the system. A beautiful day after the storm, fallen tree before the dojo, and fun.
