Out yesterday, PRIMA APPARATA #1, the comic about BALLERINA BATTLE MECHS knocked my socks off. It has so much to do in the first issue, and the fact that Dufault and Isaacs do so with the grace and beauty of a ballet is fitting. Check it out! ignitionpress.com/pages/proper...

I had the joy of helping in an early reading of 2.0 by Matt Shafeek, and can confirm that it's hilarious and heartfelt. If you're nervous about AI, and what it means for your future and career, you're going to enjoy this when it comes out! seedandspark.com/fund/20-shor...
2.0 Short Film - Film and Storytelling | Seed&Spark
2.0 is a comedic short film about the engineer who creates the AI that's going to replace him. It is fictional (in the loosest sense of the word) but also extremely relevant to the world right now.…

@caseynewton.bsky.social, so your FIANCÉ works at Anthropic! I've been parasocially hoping to hear that Hard Fork AI Disclosure™! Congratulations!
Finally got around to reading MMSM #300 and what an issue! Ziglar tells a great story and Vicentini and Valenza pulled out all the stops on the art. We go deep into the head of Rabble, Agent Gao reaches the height of her villainous descent, and Miles hits Taskmaster so hard he changes art styles!
I didn’t know how much I needed a Noir vampire story in my life until I opened Sink Your Teeth In #1. Rival vampire families, a city with vampires in its bloodstream, and a twist YOU WILL NOT SEE COMING. www.kickstarter.com/projects/dea...

Gotta say, don’t listen to the critics on this one: Mercy was an absolute thrill ride! See it in 3D if you can, because some of the spatial work was mesmerizing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
@chrishewitt.bsky.social May I humbly submit: Dyer Tuck?

Saw Fantastic Four: First Steps last night and really enjoyed it. Can't stop thinking about some of it's better moments, including a scene between Sue and Reed that earned a collective gasp from the audience from Kirby's performance. But the true delight was the score, which I'll have on loop today.
🔥 48 HOURS LEFT! 🔥 We’re in the final stretch of the Kickstarter for my very first comic book, Rootfolk, and we've unlocked two stretch goals with two to go! ✅ 2 Bonus pages UNLOCKED ✅ Spot-Gloss UNLOCKED 🔒 Two more stretch goals to go! www.kickstarter.com/projects/luk...

TWO DAYS TO GO! Spent a good chunk of today testing out the dimensions of one of the rewards. Not the final design by any means—or materials—but I used Snow White Zombie Apocalypse #1 by @brentonlengel.bsky.social and @hanaroda.net for the fit check since it matched the vibe and I like it!
I can't even open social media anymore without immediately seeing clips from Invincible. I'm so far behind I don't even know why his suit is blue now! Sleep or binge the season? 🤔
THREE days left to launch! Three! That's basically no time at all, but I'm getting to the bottom of my pre-launch checklist and that's extremely exciting. It's also petrifying! ...kinda like this strange arrow the Outrider is investigating. 😉
Four days left before I launch Rootfolk! The one task remaining is the Kickstarter video. It's been a long time since I've done any keyframe animation, but it's really satisfying. A couple of transitions are NOT smooth yet, but I'm proud of what I've done so far. You'll see it on 3/18!
When I started writing Rootfolk, I read as many comic book scripts as I could. But compared to film, where scripts are readily available online, they were really hard to find! I have a great appreciation for creators like @jamesthefourth.bsky.social who make them available.
I announced it back in January, but I’ve finally got a launch date for my Rootfolk Kickstarter: March 18th! I can’t believe it’s just five more days until launch. Still so much to do until then, but for now the countdown is ON! Check it out here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/luk...
