If you've had your eye on a print of any shape or size (as long as it's specifically rectangular and either A4 or A3), now's a great time to put in an order. Every one comes with the screams of my dying enemies ✨ bsky.app/profile/ciar...
A cost-of-living crisis isn't the easiest time to sell art, but: www.ciaraioch.com is where you can support my work, with each archival-quality print on textured heavy paper being produced here in Ireland, shipping internationally in eco-friendly packaging, with free mini-treats in every order 🎁
I've just added another 25 paintings to the print shop I'm trying out after a year of no income, which brings the total number of paintings there now to 50. I'm not yet committed to it, but if it goes well I will add more paintings. #SpéirGhorm fineartamerica.com/profiles/4-l...

I'm approaching the anniversary of the last time I received any kind of income. Having to cancel my annual sale of original paintings and close my print shop, it's been not great for an unpaid carer. So over the next couple of weeks you'll see me push unsold paintings and try out some print options.
At one of life's most difficult crossroads (trying to decide between the Discworld and Brambly Hedge 2027 calendars)
just a note that the shop is going to be closing on Friday for about a month or so whilst we hopefully welcome a new housemate, so this is your last week to pick up some lovely handmade art for a while www.etsy.com/ie/shop/pray...
August, 17⁰C, violently mild, deliciously damp, soft breeze heavy with scent of wet vegetation, thick blankets of hefty grey cloud, none of this prolonged heatwave 32⁰C shenanigans, PERFECT conditions, mountainous Atlantic coast genes finally absolutely thriving 😌
"Bluesky is a political echo chamber" okay but I'm mostly here to chat with fun internet people and post art and make jokes, I cannot stress how much I don't care
Bought some art and you should too. Top (Éin & Medb) @ciaraioch.bsky.social Bottom (coin prints): @prayforpatrick.bsky.social Bonus freebies with both, and both beautifully packaged and presented.
Hello new people! If you like words I write, BOY HOWDY HEY do I have good news for you, bc I write words a LOT, and many of the things I write are free for you to enjoy at point of use - or otherwise pretty cheap to buy. BEHOLD! A SELF PROMOTION THREAD! (might pin this)
That "men should be allowed, without judgement or consequence, to do an amount of harm to women and girls that I personally deem acceptable" seems to be a genuine opinion still held by too many people in the year two thousand and twenty six is incredibly grim
After the two All-Ireland results last weekend and this weekend I am declaring war on Connacht
The amount of creative/arty events using AI posters is actually bananas
And while I would love the next words to be "You should go all-in on making your own stuff!" the truth is that in 2026, that is impossible. Unfortunately "You should make less of your own stuff!" is much louder & depressingly, more reasonable in the current commercial climate.
There will be a Palestine march gathering at Writers Square today at 1pm, it will be heading to City Hall to welcome all of our visitors to Belfast.
CAPTCHA but it makes you google your favourite Irish acts plus the word "allegations" before you're able to buy their records or gig tickets
Hello! Does anyone know a good resource for Irish poetry by women, particularly in Irish?
Reading my first Poirot and thrilled to announce that he's being an absolutely charmingly eccentric little Belgian in the wake of a suspicious death! What a delight!
If one more person comments "mmmmwellakchually I think you'll find the insect came before art deco" I will train this tiny bug to hunt and eat them

Between the Leto story and everything else it's as abundantly clear as ever that way too many people still don't care about or acknowledge the harm many men in the public eye do to women and girls, even when it's an open secret.
Guess who's got three thumbs and poked the weird shimmering puddle you explicitly warned me not to touch?

Little off-putting when you can see people cultivating a very deliberately one-dimensional painfully cool and aloof or unattainably desirable or dreamily whimsical or feigned expert persona online, get down here and be a weird little self-loathing embarrassing internet goblin like the rest of us
This would be immediately solved by submerging the entirety of Dublin in the sea
No cool down capital: Dublin is by the sea, so how come there are so few places to swim? jrnl.ie/7114577
Something a bit heartbreaking about a friend going with their partner on trips to places that you had always talked about going together. Like we were supposed to go to the rocks and lure men to their watery doom with our haunting naked singing why are you going with a boy
