Stinson Dean@lumber.trading · 5mo agoWhat is happening in oil futures is hard to explain. All you have to do is look at those live tanker maps for Hormuz to know the fundamental situation. Every few days we get 100s of tankers behind demand. And futures are down 33% from Sunday night.
Lumber is up 10-15% based on frieght costs alone.

I never thought I'd actually see the White House try to speed-run that thought experiment live, and very obviously without any anticipation of the oil market consequences or a plan on how to address what are already becoming existential threats to the global economy.
