I just wanna go out into the desert and look at cool rocks Melbourne based electronic musician and nerd. You might know me from such things as Metroid Resynthesized https://youtube.com/@luministmusic?si=vacukXywvKX4YEIB

Who could look at this and say that the trajectory of what stories are "allowed" to be told to the public is not politically driven? Think of the change in public thought a big film made by and starring trans people could bring, and those with power who are desparately against giving them a voice.

"People like it," the Matrix co-creator said of her new script The Hunted. "But they really don’t want to make it because it’s [got a] wall-to-wall trans cast." www.avclub.com/lilly-wachow...

One of the things I love most about any Monster Hunter game: Getting smacked around the whole time during a fight with a new monster, then trying it again sometime later and suddenly finding it easy to dodge its attack patterns. It feels so rewarding 👌🏻

I think the fact he had to go and check whether the notes said that is pretty telling of the level of knowledge you realistically get out of "researching" a subject using ai. Why bother listening to someone who literally doesn't know what they are talking about?

I mean he is extremely annoying for how aggressively he tries to remain centrist/moderate on even the most black and white possible things, so I don't really know why I expected him to not use it and to value the art of learning as a human experience

Myst is an interesting one in that I think its presentation can maybe feel oblique to folks who weren't around when it released. For the time, it was doing something really groundbreaking. A very cool experience that is still special today, but maybe for some requires looking through a past lens.

i think one of the biggest underlinings in just how bad the western industry has been about its own legacy is like. myst isnt just an old game. it was final fantasy vii before final fantasy vii. it was that fucking huge.

playing Ys: Oath in Felghana right now, and really love how its level up system and economy respects the player. you get less xp per level for the same enemies, so the gameplay loop feels exciting and encourages exploration and pushing forward even though it's risky. it's really fun!

This scene from DS9 is such peak character interaction! 🥹 I love these slow-burn, slice of life moments that DS9 sometimes shows us. They do such a great job of rounding characters out into 3D people.
