Luna Station Quarterly is always seeking new artists to work with. We license art for four covers each year. We prefer work by woman-indentified and non-binary artists. 1/3

I could wrap it in plastic like a bonbon, let the sweetness burn my tongue, my throat—addicted, like everyone else. But maybe I already am, because when Boss says “Now study,” I do. from "The Grass is Pinker on the Other Side" by Kelley Tai www.lunastationquart...
Being a regular girl was a weakness, a skin I had to shed, unless I wanted to end up like Mindy, needing someone to take care of me so bad I screamed. from "Spaghettification" by Lauren Ferebee www.lunastationquart...
The objects people tied or chained or trapped themselves with all disintegrated, eventually. from "The Last Birthday Cake" by KT Reed www.lunastationquart...
I wake from a dream of vast, muscular creatures swimming through a sea of stars to find my tongue glued to the top of my mouth. from "Tongue" by Denman Netherland www.lunastationquart...

Tish will owe you gratitude for centuries, even if it never knows. from "The Queen of Tish" by Lindsey Duncan www.lunastationquart...
Is it just me or is epistolary (and documentation) fiction having a moment? Our subs are full of them and I keep seeing new ones in the bookstore all the time. Is this Baader-Meinhof phenomenon or has there actually been an increase. Why do you all think it's happening?
Time is a tide few can touch. There are points where it’s thin, like memories and dreams; times when time itself is malleable. from "Time Surfing" by Isabel McKeough www.lunastationquart...

It was only fair really, to end it like this. No one had even tried rescuing Kalen from the coalition’s clinical phenoparity “trials,” after all. from "Zig and Zag's Guide to Crash Landing" by Harklin Ashe www.lunastationquart...
This is a really clever, fun, meaningful story made up of legal briefs between unionised monster hunters and people attempting not to pay or follow collective agreements.
The Holds refused to pay a kill fee unless she produced the monsters’ tails. According to Shai, the tails were unavailable because she had killed the nekomata by luring them into a fight w/a bear. from "Hazard Pay; Competence; Wyrms" by Catherine George www.lunastationquart...

It's June, which means we're already thinking about December. Publishing work is a trip sometimes. What does time mean anymore? LSQ submissions are open now through Aug 15th. Women-identified authors, 500–7k words, genre stuff only please. We'd love to see your work! duotrope.com/duosuma...
i’m pretty sure kirill artemyev exists solely to make my life more irritating from "As Per My Last Email" by Eleanor Rasor www.lunastationquart...
Authors! A quick FYI... Please don't include song lyrics in your stories. We'd be legally bound to pay the song's publisher, which is impractical for all but the big houses. I know this is a classic fanfic storytelling device, but LSQ can't accept any work with non-public domain lyrics.
In the narrow valleys of the northwestern country there are places in the land capable of tricks, especially in the thick forests that cover the hillsides. from "Cat Steps" by River West www.lunastationquart...

Instead of our usual beautiful imagery, this issue's cover features an anti-AI statement in support of artists. 🖤 My editorial talks about it a bit more. www.lunastationquart...
