I did not know when Swim released how deeply it would etch itself into my soul. Constantly finding myself desperate to run, and then Yoongi gently asks “why you run away, you can run in?” and I feel just a little braver. It has tangibly changed my life actually.

As we check in on our 2nd day of #CleanWaterWithJK, 2️⃣4️⃣ new donors have joined bringing our total to 5️⃣5️⃣ donors. Every donor adds another drop to our ripple of change. A total of $2159 and it’s only day 2! AMAZING ARMY!!! 💦🚰💧

I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.

A true original, kind-hearted, a sparkling talent, generous, and a pioneering supporter of literacy. She lived every second of that life gloriously. And above all, Dolly Parton was loudly and unashamedly herself. What a remarkable, admirable, gorgeous person.

I also encourage you to look for the partner organizations in your area that make this happen. The Imagination Library does not do this alone. In King Co it is Africatown Community Land Trust. My kid’s school is Title 1, & the PTA has to raise $13k this year to give 5th graders cool opportunities. But 2/3 of the families are poor. I wish Jimin would kiss the head of our PTA president or principal or something so ARMY could pour money on the school. 🤪 (I don’t wanna do bake sales.)

Apparently this has happened to some other people, too. I'd guess that Instagram is using AI to identify the glasses being used in a post, because it's their parent company's product they want to promote them as much as possible. But I doubt they care about the potential for errors/false positives 🫠

For the PM crowd: you can look them up here and read the attached docs, they were taking donations despite being suspended for years. How do I know? When they filed the back documents you could see how much they made and never reported. And then their checks to pay the late filing fees bounced 🙃

My example used @thepixelproject.bsky.social because that's the charity that has been promoted lately. Luckily for us they are registered in California which has a robust and transparent database for their 501(c) orgs. They are not in good standing 🤷‍♀️ rct.doj.ca.gov/Verification...
