Apart from being on #Skye at the height of the tourism season I am so happy to report that my happy 😆 places are still secret.

Lover of Scottish scenery. Also my feline friend Lizzie. Divide my time between Skye and Glasgow equally. I like being up mountains. Climbing or other sports. uaireannan faodaidh beagan eòlais a bhith troimh-chèile
Goodnight absolutely wonderful phone people. Lots of love stars but apparently I might have the wrong ones attached ❤️🩷💜💗💙💖
Whilst down at Kylerhea on Sunday this cruiser went past. You can book a trip in this boat. ‘Lord of the Glens’ Seriously the price. Was aghast. Though why do that as there are beautiful places to see with a little research
Going home in a few mins to my gf Lizzie. Totally beat the tourists so getting that Bacardi and fizzy orange juice as a reward
Skye Highland Games this Saturday in Portree. Giving that a big miss. For these reasons only. It’s twenty miles up the road but takes at least an hour in the summer. There will be zero parking Too many tourists wandering around everywhere. Don’t know of anyone local even thinking of going there.
You know, in the bar after midnight and don’t want whisky and the only fizzy stuff is some Cava that looking at the label is awful and probably by its best. Jeez even from prior experience the wine is terrible. So it has to be something with a fizzy drink. Bacardi….yes.
A bit annoyed that the rain has stopped me from really going crazy with the strimmer.
Q. My child will not eat fish. What can I replace it with. A. A cat. Cats love fish.
Was going to go to the pub but it is basically pouring down with rain and very windy. I take it that further south in the U.K. there is still hot weather?
Getting a wee bit gallus here on Skye. That’s Waffles territory she’s eyeing up. #catsofbluesky #Skye
It’s definitely bed time at 2.43 am I have zero to do tomorrow but quite sure a neighbour notices a light on that may be gossiped about tomorrow.
The loan seal I spotted today on a rock. All his mates are in the water fishing and he’s still on that rock waiting for the tide to rise. Should have lain on a lower rock and then you could be feasting.
There is nobody but Lizzie and myself here and this is bliss. Nothing to do today and it’s going to be raining. Except Derek’s fish van that is an absolute must. Might even get a break between thunderstorms and have a decent walk locally.
87.3% of a parents job is finding food in places around the house where food simply should not be
Have a storage container of things from my Dad’s house that I need to sort out. From before this house was built. A lot of antique stuff, belonged to my grandparents. I’m just procrastinate every time I’m on Skye because ultimately I don’t want to do that ‘sorting’. However I may start tomorrow.
Planned on staying here on Skye at least another week, however got sent some photos of the most ‘gorgeous baby in the world’™️ and unless there is some huge improvement in the weather I will be heading south over the weekend. Thursday looks promising for a hillwalk. That’s it so far.
Fell asleep this afternoon after doing laundry and generally cleaning up after my youngest son and gf left yesterday. So not minding the grey skies but it better improve in the next few days. Also memo to myself in future - don’t go via Loch Ness to Inverness in the future.
Been a miserable wet day today. Got a pile of washing done but I have no dryer so the spare bedroom like a laundry. Good hearty evening meal all via the coop. Scallops, baby roast potatoes, Stornoway black pudding, spinach and peas with some Italian ham and of course tartar sauce. Also Alt
