Discovered Cooper & Fry on Channel 5, and now I’m trying to work out why there are a bunch of Irish actors attempting Yorkshire (?) accents when there are other Irish actors just doing their usual accent

The absolute gits. If I cancel my subscription, the ink cartridges I've hung on for for months to arrive will be remotely deactivated and I'll have to buy new ones after shelling out over the odds for months. That is extortion of the worst order. Pausing my subscription it is, then.

The colour ink cartridge for my printer has arrived, so it’s time to cancel the ink subscription. While it was worth it when it was £1.99 for 50 pages a month, given how often I get new cartridges, the current £4.50 fee is no longer cost effective

Back into the editing mines today on the last big chapter. My ribs are feeling achy today (no real surprise), so I think frequent breaks and gentle stretches are in order in between profiles and stat blocks

Star Trek doth teache us that linguistiques, historye, workinge togethir, science, music, mythologye, poetrye, friendshippe, selflessnesse (except Kirk), a capacitye for wonder, and celebrating Infinite Diversitye yn Infinite Combinaciouns are what trulye make the future bettir. #StarTrekDay

This last bit is proving to be a bit of a bugger to fix. Should still get everything done today but it will mean working tonight again. For now, though, I need five minutes to give my brain a rest, make a cuppa and get my tea in the oven

This is just to say... I have stolen the work that you spent years creating and which you were probably hoping would pay your bills But online sharing doesn't count It's actually a compliment So fuck you BTW, I'm a fan

The RNLI have some of the best people in Britain volunteering for them. They put their lives on the line when they are called on and they will rescue anyone who needs them. Because every life matters, and offering help is the right thing to do. You can donate here: rnli.org

RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Saving Lives at Sea

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We do this through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education and international interventions.

You can't explain it, but sometimes you feel summoned by places. They call you to walk them. It's almost as if that act of walking makes you part of their story and they want that. You can call me mad, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this. – Bec Bowker, 1982 #VOH

Our local Indian takeaway does lovely curries but their idea of medium spice is a bit hotter than mine. At least this one wasn’t quite as incendiary as the last one I had from them (different types, of course)

In editing news, final revisions for this chapter are going pretty well but it's time for a cuppa. As it's Sunday, I'm going to find a sensible place to stop post-cuppa (I drink it while editing) then leave the last few tricky bits until tomorrow. It is the weekend, after all!
