And like, I publish covers and remixes of game music myself! I wanted to collaborate with GameChops someday, and I published a cover of Pigstep through Distrokid that performs pretty well, which gave me motivation to make more covers like it! But with these takedowns, is it even worth it to try?
Lyte@lytewav.cool · 6d agoSo a ton of my favorite video game music covers are being taken down off YouTube, and because of the AI allegations, it feels morally wrong to give Cutman, an artist I admired and aspired to one day work with, my condolences, let alone my financial support. The whole situation is just heartbreaking.
so it seems that gamechops, my favorite music label that publishes amazing covers of game music in a variety of genres I enjoy, is in deep trouble on a couple different fronts at once. not only is YouTube being YouTube and doing DMCA takedowns on a ton of works published under the label...
I guess it's normal for doctor's offices to show gambling ads on the waiting room TV now??

the fact that fortnite only lets you customize sidekicks once per purchase was a truly evil decision
So one of the apps I can't install with my new privacy-focused OS is my bank app, which wouldn't be a deal breaker, but I can't even use the website for it without authenticating with the app. So I'm completely locked out without it. Guess I'm reinstalling stock android.

Subway?? lol no clue why) but otherwise it's normal android but with extra privacy controls
well i decided to practice drawing after a lovely artist friend gave me some encouragement, so here's a squishy little minecraft pig i keep on my desk. he was four dollars at a local con and he makes me smile :)

Not to simp for the corporation or anything but I'm personally not upset about there being no disk in the box. It would be a waste of materials. They're not going to fit the entire game on a single Blu-ray. Also I know 80 dollars stings but realistically, AAA games couldn't stay at 60 bucks forever.
