In THE GRAY KINGS, Katrina is stuck with a priestess named Celeste. Celeste wants her to be the chosen hero again, believing a grand destiny is at hand. Katrina, however, just wants to move on with her life. Unfortunately, her insistence only provokes Katrina's spite & self-destructive tendencies.

Funny thing is I guarantee you don't really need to watch half of these to understand what happens in DOOMSDAY. "Rewatch BRAVE NEW WORLD and 2002's X-MEN." Why? "So you remember Sam is currently Captain America and that Magneto exists." That's it? I already know that, you knobs.

#FilmSky Checked out PRIMATE last night, and it was cheesy shlock, as expected, but there was something about it that bugged me throughout. It positioned the people who owned a chimp as a pet as the 'final girls' that survive the ordeal and...no.

#FilmSky #HorrorSky In the first EVIL DEAD, there's a sequence near the end where the film becomes very surreal. Ash, now alone, sees & hears things, and it's almost like the cabin itself is trying to drive him insane. I'd like to see a future installment aim for that kind of tone again sometime.

Birdsinger squinted into the morning sun. Below them, all the treetops in Sheltria lay spread like a textured woolen blanket of many colors. Sporadic birdsong evoked springtime, when the birds had been so many that their mighty chorus overflowed the trees and filled the sky. But most had flown early this year. A harsh winter threatened. The wind over the treetops scoured Birdsinger's face; its cold bored into their ears. The sun's thin warmth was little comfort while they looked into the distance, for the eastern haze had thickened and dimmed the jagged HORIZON. But Birdsinger smiled, grateful as always watching the hardy jays wheel and call, flashing vivid blue against the fiery colors of the canopy beneath them.
