There are many things being built on atproto. Many of them won’t get adopted or thrive. And yes, many are built without user research. It’s OK? Don’t use things you don’t want to. Promote things you like. And build something yourself if you feel like it. Do it the way YOU want it to be.

ATgeo really deserves more visibility for bringing open geolocation datasets into the atmosphere, both through community-governed lexicons and a search API.
@schuyler.info shipped an ATgeo server atgeo.org Much like events "being dead" but everyone adopting the community lexicon, geo apps have adopted the community lexicon! The specific thing HERE is having an atproto native venue lookup. Which is shipped and running! We need to announce & socialize!
