Crazy things must be happening in Congress. I lost all my meetings with members except for one as of this post. But I’m still going because presence is crucial in the fight for our healthcare and Social Security. I’ll be there all day tomorrow.

My hubs had to put gas in the car this morning, and not to create a panic, but many of the pumps were empty. This was a major chain store, not a one pump country station. Not sure if anyone remembers the long gas lines in the 70s, but the fat garbage can is fucking us, yet again.

Just watched #thelongwalk and I feel so lucky to have lived at the same time in history as @stephenking.bsky.social. The movie was done so well - it was tense, riveting and poignant at the same time. I went through so many emotions. Winning was such a double edged sword.

Just finished reading my 29th book of the year. "Made in the USA" by Billie Letts. This turned out to be a surprise. I expected some kind of "feel good" tale. A glimpse of what it's like w/out a stable family and the societal failures for unhoused children & families in crisis. #booksky #litfic 💙📚🖋️
This may seem obvious, but the only reason we have to keep up with technology is because of technology. I don't want my phone w/me all the time, but "without the app" you can't even park, or even be in a physical business that requires a goddam app to even deal with you. It's ludicrous atp.
I forced myself to go to a Tai Chi class, and it didn't suck! I wasn't sure exactly what to expect because I've got posterior tibial tendonitis (PTT) and been trying to rehab it. Also, I'm not a big fan of groups of ppl, but this was really great because u don't have to actually talk to anyone.

When ppl talk about a "mid-life crisis" what they may not know (esp if they're younger) is that it won't be JUST ONE. You'll have several points when you'll question everything, try to change everything, and kinda lose your mind. It's one big sliding scale of crises.

I just went through one helluva Dr visit. I had to tell the guy my name 4 times. He kept reading someone else's chart & confused the fuck outta me. I have never seen a Dr that had probably been getting high on his own supply. He didn't know how to use his computer! I'm not a new patient/
I swear to the non-existent god talking to older family members makes me want to change my phone number, my identity and pretend I was an orphan. After a certain age, my oldest siblings and their grown ass no-good kids (40+ year old adults) drive me insane.
