Online ads used to be annoying, but now that every ad is trying to get me to use AI or is using AI to try and sell me something, I'm actively disgusted by them. Like it makes me feel a little stomach churn. I think "disgust" is not a feeling you want associated with your brand, but what do I know.

"Death of the author" is a literary theory that emphasizes the personal interaction and connection to an artistic work over the concept of an authorial ultimate meaning. "Separate the art from the artist" is a catchphrase to mumble to yourself so you can justify buying more Harry Potter shit.

I shouldnt have to feel uncomfortable when i see well done animation and I go 'how long did it take to do that on what budget." because so much of the amazing things we praise were done by artists who often went above and beyond to provide it to us, not the system itself that makes the shows.

We are still feeling the effects of these 3 movies bombing in the early 2000's. Every single "adults/teens won't watch animated movies" or "No one wants to watch a 2D animated movie in theaters" etc. can be traced back to these 3 movies bombing. I'm being a bit hyperbolic, but also not.

Titan A.E., Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet all coming out in the same 3 year span and all three being box office disappointments independently of the quality of the movies is just real fascinating to me.

Banner that reads 'Artfight art share'. The banner image is an illustration of Emrys, a tiefling druid with fluffy white hair and grey skin clad in white and grey furs. He's holding onto a glowing staff as his eyes too glow with magic and summon whirling arcane power. Moths flutter around him, attracted to the light. Emrys belongs to kozpen on Artfight.

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!
