@tasmosunt.bsky.social and I took Patch to the cinema. It was his first time seeing a movie on the big screen. We took him to see Avengers: Endgame, and he did quite well. He sat/lay down very nicely through most of it, only getting fidgety towards the end.

My girlfriend and I completed our watch-through of Iron Fist’s first season today. It was very disjointed with awful pacing. It had entertaining moments, but I get why this is the poorly regarded entry. Once we watch the show’s second season, we’ll have seen all the Netflix MCU stuff.
This is the equivalent of saying that the M25 is really busy, so we'll take a couple of lanes away.

In my view, assisted dying would pose a risk to far more people than it would help. People would be killed who might have been helped. The benefits would be anecdotal, but the harm would be systemic.
I am glad that MPs have voted against legalising assisted dying today.

With how copyright discussions are going regarding ownership, I half expect companies to start using the term “digital trespass” to have their cake and eat it regarding the “you don’t own stuff but piracy is still theft” argument they’re trying to make.

We need a serious reckoning about the British press. We've had too many tragedies. And this whole saga was nothing but appealing to the worst, most prejudiced instincts of their writers and readers. They turned this into a cruel, relentless spectacle until a terrible outcome.
