Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

⭐🌊🌳🐢🐬🦈🐋🐦🌴🌊⭐ Brazil's presidential election is approaching. Voting means caring for more than ourselves: it means protecting those who can't speak for themselves, too. Our marine biodiversity is a treasure to protect, study, and celebrated, not a resource to sell to other countries.

A political illustration regarding the elections in Brazil. It says "Voting 13 is protecting our marine biodiversity". In a circular composition, there are various marine animals present in Brazil's marine biodiversity in the ocean section, such as dolphins, nurse sharks, tiger sharks, blue sharks, bull sharks, lemon sharks, turtles, sea lions, humpback whales, and rays. Meanwhile, on the surface, there are vegetation and trees representing the coastal flora of the Atlantic Forest and mangroves. At the top of the mangrove tree, there is a pair of scarlet ibises. The lemon shark is sticking its head out of the water, near the mangrove tree, curiously observing a bright white star against a red background.
