There has been an ICE involved shooting in Biddeford, Maine. Not a lot of details but I hear one community member is dead.
I do hope as more leftist creators rush to make thier think pieces on Platner right now, some actually take the time to talk or consider actual Maine voices. I don't even mean me, just Mainers generally. Most people I know IRL aren't going to engage with "outside" voices if they aren't even trying.
Honestly, the amount of misogyny I see in leftist spaces really just goes to show how, to paraphrase a more famous quote, we can imagine the end to capitalism, but not the end of patriarchy.
