Our Glyco-STORM paper is officially out in the 23 Feb 2026 issue of #AdvancedScience: doi.org/10.1002/advs.... Celebrating with the cover artwork🎉. What looks gray and lifeless at first glance unfolds into complex molecular landscapes when revealed with lectin probes & super-resolution microscopy.

I‘m looking for a book📚 to gift a young neurologist🩺 who recently started her career. Something warm, funny, or gripping… maybe touching on the early challenges of the job. If you have a favorite, I’d love to hear it!🩷
Curious about the minute sugar landscape within our cells?🍭Discover it in our recent article in #AdvancedScience, where we map subcellular glycosylation using super-resolution microscopy.🔬

Glycan Atlassing – another exciting work on the nanoscale organization of the glycocalyx! This approach enables the distinction of different cancer states.
GLYCAN ATLASSING: NANOSCALE ANALYSIS OF GLYCOCALYX ARCHITECTURE ENABLES FUNCTIONAL TRACING OF CELL STATE 🍭🔬🧬 Don’t judge a book by its cover - judge a cell by its cover! We can now trace how cell state is encoded in glycocalyx state. #glycotime #microscopy www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
It was an amazing meeting! Thank you Ulrike (@uendesfelder.bsky.social), Mike (@heilemannlab.bsky.social), Ulrich and all! I’m still under the spell of the scientific insights and the warm, encouraging spirit of this community.💖
And we are done --- #SMLMS2025 is over, and it was great. Thank you Uli & Ulrike & all the helpers 👍, and thanks to everyone joining this event 🙏 ... safe travels home & see you soon!
Next on stage is Eduard Unterauer @eduardunterauer.bsky.social from @jungmannlab.bsky.social reporting spatial proteomics with DNA PAINT #SMLMS2025
A special week: 🎉Honored to receive the Waltrude & Friedrich Liebau Prize de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebau-Preis for promoting interdisciplinary crystallography with my ‘Protein Art’. I never dreamed my art would find its way into the hearts of distinguished scientists.

Super-resolution imaging of #glycans is on the rise! It's amazing to see how the difficult task of tracking sugars is being tackled.
Our Lectin-PAINT work is out! A super-resolution approach to study membrane-exposed glycans with nm resolution and in live cells. Multiplexed 8-colors imaging mapping heterogeneity in "glycotype" with single molecule resolution. Fantastic work of our Marrit! #Glycotime www.nature.com/articles/s42...
