Are we ready for machine written history? When given access to a well structured large historical dataset, Claude’s Fable 5 can identify a topic, complete the research and write a strong and original draft research paper. This has the potential to break peer review, graduate school, & job searches.

Having played seven Yakuza games now, I can only assume that either Kamurocho is littered with shirt buttons and scraps or the tear away shirt business is thriving. Seriously, with how many shirts Kiryu goes through, it's no wonder he starts every game so poor.

I reiterate: the fight should not be to save physical media. I get it, but that was always going away. The fight should be to overhaul digital ownership laws. It should be illegal that we cannot play anything we bought digitally on PS3/4/Vita on the PS5, 6, etc. It should be *illegal*.

People have overwhelmingly shown that they favor convenience and digital. That's why companies lean into it. The issue is that you don't *own* your digital copies. That's what needs to change.

Honestly, there are very few episodes of X-Files Season 8 and 9 that I don't think "poor Doggett". Like, Reyes, she's all in on spooky and weird, admittedly she's more in team occult than team aliens, but poor Doggett is firmly in team no spooky explanations and really suffers for it.

X-Files Season 8 Episode 17 opens with a guy getting fired and his boss says "if it were up to me, you'd get promoted" and I think, in that circumstance, you should get one free swing. I know unions are weak in America, but I feel like that should be an easy sell.

Her argument appears to be that the pro-Palestine march is specifically intimidating to Jewish people, whereas the Tommy Robinson march will not be specifically targeting any particular group.

Last night I watched Final Destination: Bloodlines. It is certainly a Final Destination movie, so enjoyable and silly in equal measure. I think it is always interesting how Death, as a character, is personified because it's mostly a petty trickster who loves Rube-Golberg Machines and revenge.

Firstly, Grace Lavery's work is always worth reading. Secondly, very rude of Prof Sullivan to quote my long deleted dating app profile bio... 😅

I saw a car from Ukraine today. It travelled through a warzone, across Europe, over the Channel and Irish Sea, carrying it's occupants to safety, only to end up parking across a "Keep Clear" zone in Enniskillen.

This is the type of evil that enables all of this. There's an entire right wing media ecosystem that would rather watch the world burn than be a decent human being.

Two of my cat's enemies (other local cats) died yesterday in either mysterious or tragic ways. Neither could have been caused by Marmalade... at least not through natural means. So, I am a little freaked out and am stocking up on treats.

Did Covid-19 happen in the Resident Evil universe? And if so, were the conspiracy theorists claiming it was a naturally occuring virus (given that in RE, literally every viral outbreak from like 1998 onwards was either a lab leak or an evil corporate plot)?

Dr Squatch must be a failing company, how do you go from hiring Sydney Sweeney for high production value ads to computer generated voice over ads that look like they're made by the laziest influencer in a couple of years? Honestly, I'd be too embarrassed and just not advertise in that situation.

Reached X-Files Season 8 Episode 15, that means it is time to move over to The Lone Gunmen, a show about conspiracies which has become the centre of some conspiracy theories. Apparently, "cancelled for getting too close to the truth, just like Dark Angel" or so YouTube comments tell me.

I would be almost certain, as some raised Protestant in Northern Ireland's weird religious world, that the French Federation of Protestants also had absolutely no idea what Bush was going on about. I only know from reading the Americans, and my great grandmother was a Paisleyite.
