Is it *extra*-marital in general or specifically *pre*-marital? Because if it's the latter everyone should just get married to fulfil that legal obligation purely so they can bang whoever they like whenever they like.

First look at ‘ONE NIGHT ONLY’, starring Callum Turner and Monica Barbaro. The film is a rom-com version of ‘The Purge’ where premarital sex is outlawed except for one night every year. In theaters on August 7.

Worth noting that Ceuta and Melilla, by virtue of only being captured in 1580 and 1497 respectively, were not subject to the Alhambra Decree and thus are the only parts of modern Spain where Sephardi Jewish communities survived (modern mainland communities are much later arrivals/returnees).

Ben Shapiro probably does not know enough history to even know this, but the way he is talking about Muslims as a nation within the nation who can never be integrated is almost verbatim what European nationalists said about Jews in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Tweet from Ben Shapiro: "It turns out that importing massive numbers of Muslims from third world countries is a bad idea. Not just because people get beaten in Dearborn for protesting or nearly stabbed in Ceuta for covering the news. But because radical Muslims create voting enclaves in Western countries, then build coalitions with radical Leftists who hate our civilization. Which is what’s about to happen in the Michigan Senate primary tonight.

Cis woman on now speaking about how much she has been challenged, had security called on her because she has PCOS. Says she's never had a problem with trans women but multiple problems with GC women. She's on the verge of tears.

Native BCS speakers - would it be fair to say that "pozvati" is perhaps less formal (for want of a better word) than "invite" in English? In the sense that it could have a less grand meaning of someone simply being "called on" or "asked for"?

An example I like to go back to is Marcus Willis (then ranked world No. 772) getting a Wildcard to play Roger Federer (then No. 3) in Wimbledon in 2016. Federer won in straight sets, of course. But on an individual point-by-point basis, Willis actually won the rally 42% of the time!

I wrote a thread about this in tennis a while ago - that professional men's tennis players could destroy serena means nothing at lower levels, I was a mediocre varsity tennis player and absolutely could not hang with a decent women's college tennis prospect

There's this very weird but noticeable tendency to treat legal aspects that are Byzantine & opaque to lay folks - to the point of "I know it might LOOK like it says X, but if you read these 25 200-page previous rulings, you'll see it really means the opposite" - as features rather than obvious bugs.

British lawyers on here are some of the rudest most patronising, pedantic and generally unpleasant people (except all the lovely ones who follow me ofc!)

The Rohirrim and Elvish archers all hold their bows at full draw for *20 seconds* before *one* of them lets go. Theoden, why are you wasting these guys as archers when they're clearly all strong enough to lift giant boulders and lob them at the orcs one-handed?!

There's also the fun thing where they can always hold them at full draw on demand for any length of time, when even the strongest man would struggle to hold a medieval war bow like that for more than a few seconds.

TIL that Japan's constantly one accident away from having to rewrite it's whole Imperial succession law because it's strictly male-line succession only and there is precisely 1 man in the Imperial Family under the age of 60.

For fuck's sake. The "protected belief" phenomenon has really got out of hand, judges are increasingly just throwing it out there for any weirdo who wants to harass people at work. Reminder that this provision was intended to protect *religious* beliefs.

Efforts to launder hate and discrimination through some "charitable" endeavour in the bet that people will be reluctant to criticise that are not exactly some great novel idea. And no doubt would have/did help some people who needed help. But like, come on, we know that's not why they're doing it...
