Processing Rabhi’s victory speech. Starts off thanking everyone, then shifts to all about him. But does use “we” when talking about the campaign. Says campaign is about “taking Ann Arbor back to the people” and “restoring power to the people of Ann Arbor.” What does that look like… #a2council

Am hoping Rabhi winning without his slate means it was more an anti-incumbent wave than a NIMBY one, and that maybe with a LOT of (hard knocks) education, he’ll come to understand how affordable housing gets made. 🤞 Hold on, #a2council .

Putting out a plea to my unpersuadable DSA friends that if Rabhi wins #a2council they’ll hold him to DSA values (gonna be tough bc he’s supported by some $million homeowners).

I want to make a case to my Ann Arbor neighbors to reelect Christopher Taylor, even though his opponent's politics are closer to mine. We’ve progressed so much since 2016 under Taylor's leadership. We built much more housing and are bringing more people into this sweet community.

There are many reasons to vote for Abdul. The most practical one is that if you want to win Michigan in Nov, we need him on the ballot. Benson doesn't bring one new vote to Stevens & versa vice. Abdul speaks to the irregular, anti-system voters who decide close races here. He will bring them out.
