Yes, truly a key ideological proxy war in the Michigan Democratic Senate primaries between Nikki Haley and a brown man I can’t identify but who clearly isn’t Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. Too close to call!

Good list of things to consider, adding to our ongoing debate about court reform. I'd go for most of them. I'm most skeptical on supermajority to strike down federal statutes. I'm not sure that would work as intended. (NB this is suggesting ideas other than expansion, not necessarily rejecting it.)

This bill sitting in the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on 4/30/26 strips fed retirement pay for sex crime convictions. It applies only to convictions after its passage, giving these guys and those convicted in the interim a pass. www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c...

This should get boosted to the sky. Tax dollars pay these people, give them a retirement, and this is how they conduct themselves. Even if it was once a few bad apples, they spoiled the barrel long ago.

Don’t look away. It hasn’t been a question of “it can’t happen here” since his reelection. It is happening here. The only question is who will stop it and how? We need to take a collective look in our mirrors and ask that question, now, daily, multiple times a day. No one is coming to save us.

A practical look at the lies we should expect from Trump’s big lie speech Thursday from @electproject.bsky.social Find out what Trump can do before the midterms (decertifying Dominion voting machines in 11 states looks likely).

Rights are reserved for the people. But people also have a power. United, that power can be unstoppable. The response to the regime’s abuse of power isn’t “They can’t/don’t have the right to do that!” The response is “Who will stop them? And how?”

I want to make a quick, but important point that goes to the 🧵 I did last night & a quote post reply this morning. States, as in the US or it's constituent states or those states municipalities DO NOT have rights. They have power/powers. Rights are reserved for the people. 1/

Mitch McConnell has been missing because the ritual to keep him alive takes longer and longer each time he starts to decompose. This time, he had to sacrifice Lindsey Graham. Next time, the elders say it will take two senators to fulfill the cosmic pact. After that, it will devour the moon
