there is no meaningful political opposition to the genocide among israelis, there is not a liberal political solution to this. they are not going to vote to stop being a genocidal apartheid state, pressure needs to be put on them from outside just as it was in south africa and rhodesia.

is settler-colonialist ethnonationalism racist? hard to say. is the slaughter in gaza a genocide? there is some debate. however, antisemitism was, oddly, extremely easy to arrive to a unanimous definition of and implement as such in dozens of institutions

Lucien Lazare, Jewish fighter in the French Resistance, has died at 101. Two weeks ago I compiled and printed ~30pgs of paperwork + docs + paid a €30 stamp to go to my French town hall to fill a form to let a friend from Serbia sleep on my air mattress for a week. I then had to pick up the stamped form and physically mail it to Belgrade. The French bureaucracy is unreal.
