🏳️‍🌈 | ᏣᎳᎽ | he/him | cat dad | lawyer | san francisco, ca content is kind of hetero-phobic. sorrynotsorry. quite obviously these views are my own, and aren’t those of any other person or org.

I wish I could say I drive rarely out of virtue — but the reality is that San Francisco has made e-biking and Muni (from certain neighborhoods, anyway!) so convenient that driving is the least efficient option by far for many trips. 🚲

Being homeschooled (unschooled, really) but also an avid reader, I read a lot of things I never heard pronounced. And I’m *still* hearing words and realizing I’ve been pronouncing them wrong.

Following these home and garden ppl on Instagram is crazy. One minute it’s “tips for your urban garden” and the next minute it’s like “let’s pray to Jesus that my seventeen children aren’t trans” omg.

I hope everyone had a really fun Dore Alley and Lazy Bear! Now is the perfect time to go get poked and swabbed and otherwise checked out for all the things to stay healthy and ready for Folsom. 😈

My San Francisco summer* personality—a pellet smoker/grill combo—arrives on Saturday and y’all get ready for this dad content. 😅 *San Francisco summer starts in late August at the earliest!

Here’s a gem of a bluegrass hymn, foreign to today’s evangelicals: “Oh you don't love God, if you don't love your neighbor. If you gossip about him, if you never have mercy. If he gets into trouble, and you don't try to help him. Then you don't love your neighbor, and you don't love God.”

The hardest pivot is when my Instagram goes from like four thirsty green circle gay men posts in a row to… … my straight dance mom-of-a-teen friend from college.

My office services folks, to me: “a fedex box arrived for you” Me, just to me: “welcome to sf mom and dad!” 👻👻👻

Our former San Francisco apartment just listed for $2500 more per month than we were paying—and our rent had gone up $500 in the last year. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

En route to El Paso for an asylum trial for a gay Palestinian man that I’ve represented for a decade. I’m very nervous, not because I haven’t done this a number of times before, but because the law matters so little now in Trump’s deportation machine. Vibes/prayers/thoughts are very welcome!

It feels sort of disrespectful to ship my parents’ ashes. It’s not exactly first class. But neither of them did anything to help me out with this situation so they’ll just have to sit in economy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I go to Oklahoma (of all places) and their queer spaces are so so so so so much more diverse than San Francisco spaces and it’s *almost* like economic inclusivity matters as much or more than other inclusive policies.
