I had a dream that Sega added Power Rangers to Crossworlds and everyone was freaking out about how cool it was and started mass quitting Fortnite and there was a tweet where someone said "Am I the only one who still likes Fortnite?" and everyone got really mad at them

I'm glad someone finally said it, Free Roam isn't pointless just because there isn't some greater reward or accomplishment to work towards It's fun to zoom around a huge world with no obligations (besides some optional collectathon elements), and if you agree, isn't that valuable in its own right?

In a recent video youtuber Arlo talks about Mario Kart World again. Being extrinsically motivated he says all the activities in free roaming are pointless and therefore there is nothing to do. He concludes that just driving around an open space is not a game. But we have to ask ourselves – why not?
