ADHD 🧩, Historian "If I were to tell you that the next thing I say will be true, and that the last thing I said was a lie, would you believe me?" - some wayward traveler

9/11 victim Michael Massaroli’s son: "You do my dad's legacy & the legacy of all victims no honor using this tragedy to spread hate. I've had to spend 25 years seeing people use it to hate on our Muslim brothers & sisters, people who don't look like them."

Twenty-five years after 9/11, the world is dealing with a very different security landscape. And today brought another reminder of just how quickly it is changing. Here’s what mattered on September 11 🧵

Don't let this fly under the radar: Trump has reportedly made between $1.5M to $4.4M from his oil stockholdings since the start of his Iran War. As gas prices skyrocket, he is personally profiting from your pain at the pump. https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/09/trump-oil-gas-holdings-iran-war.html

Shanah Tovah, New York! Wishing all Jewish New Yorkers celebrating a sweet, joyful and meaningful Rosh Hashanah. Here’s to a new year filled with health, happiness and blessings (and yes, even another Knicks championship).

Today is the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Today is a day of remembrance. Today is a day of family. If you have a family member or friend you haven’t connected with in awhile, be sure to reach out to them. Community is what makes us strong.

25 years ago, terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people, including 2,753 New Yorkers. As we remember that terrible day, let us also remember the first responders, office workers and strangers who ran toward danger to help each other.

Team Talarico showed up for our neighbors this week. While mega-donors and their puppet politicians paid $20,000 to attend a Billionaire Ball, we donated 20,000 pounds of groceries to working Texans. Thank you to everyone who supported our Love Thy Neighbor Grocery Drive!

Why is there money for bombs & ballrooms but not for affordable food? A Texan paid $25 for 3 pounds of ground beef. Prices increasing. People are doing the math at the checkout line hoping for dinner. Somehow there’s always money for bombs & ballrooms, never enough urgency to make food affordable.

“Of course, the Democratic Party wouldn’t sit on its hands. Their ever-present legal pitbull Marc Elias would have a field day. If ICE showed up in an intimidating manner to a voting location, I’d bet that a well-drafted lawsuit would be filed within the hour.” democracyproject.org/posts/ice-at...

The fact that Islamophobia is welcomed, championed, and cheered at this Republican Convention. People are chanting to hurt and shoot Muslim American candidates. It will barely be mentioned this weekend. I assume journalists will ask Democrats to condemn Hasan Piker instead, right?

Texas farmers need more options when the rain stops coming. Hemp can help farmers protect their soil and keep money coming in during drought. Let Texas farmers decide what makes sense for their land, not politicians or corporate monopolies.
