When you want to learn something new, find a way to make it more fun for yourself. You will have more patience and a longer endurance when it's more like a game than a chore. Also have fun making mistakes, don't punish yourself for it.

Trans man in my 30s from the Netherlands. After years of struggling I'm properly drawing again. Some DTIYS challenges have helped with that. I love scratching around with pens and inks mostly. But I like experimenting with all kinds of art materials. Hyper focus on a specific fallen angel atm.

Epic pays for licensing fees for the games they give away for free as promotions. Which means even if YOU aren't paying for it, you're giving money to JK Rowling to harm transgender people AND elevating her stature by giving her franchise higher numbers. NO TERF WIZARD GAME. NO TERF WIZARD SHOW.

While I was half watching The Game Awards I finished a thread of 50 indie game recommendations. FIFTY! That's as many as five tens. And that's terrible. But seriously, I do want to impart something. There's a whole world of games out there, far beyond what's represented at the show, just as worthy.

I'm ending on a high, Red Candle's masterpiece, I cannot recommend it highly enough, the Sekiro inspired combat is immensely good, the bosses are some of the best I've seen, it's hitting on Hollow Knight level of good, and the story and writing are top tier.
