Economy teetering on the edge of oblivion, the income tax take cant cover the welfare bills, defence going down the shitter. Its ok everyone we'll give families cheaper tickets to theme parks (mostly owned by int'l companies that aren't known for paying tax) it beggars belief

The death of HMS Hood in Chapter 4 of Pursuit by Ludovic Kennedy is some of the best naval history writing I have read. Tragic and stunning in equal measure.
I absolutely endorse this and repeat it on behalf of myself and every author who has worked long and hard at their craft. If you do this, it’s no different from taking my wallet and helping yourself to the contents.

@bsky.app after the latest update your app is unisable on iPad because of the way the photos keep appearing when the feed is scrolled, it keeps jumping past the text to show the image. Not helpful.
