So cool that Ghostty, herder.dev and pi.dev all support the kitty graphics protocol! My agent can render #Xcode previews through MCP and I see the results in real time right in the terminal. Makes iterating over multiple Dynamic Type sizes and polishing the UI super smooth! #iOSDev #herdr

Automatic hotspot (📱⇢💻) is pure Apple magic IMO I am sitting in my car (parked! don't worry 😅) with time to kill, so I pull out my MBP to get some work done. Without even thinking about it, I'm online. Just like that. Small feature but makes such a difference!
If you're an #iOSDev and not already using www.xcodes.app/ do yourselves a favor and install it right now. It is by far the smoothest way to download and manage installed Xcode versions - especially during a hot beta period like this!
I'm not even a minute into the latest @atp.fm episode but I just exclaimed and cheered out loud along with @liss.bsky.social when @marcoarment.bsky.social said he'd possibly be finally looking into home assistant haha 😆 (I'm at the gym right now and people give me weird looks 🫣 🤷♂️ )
Wow, I gotta say that #Cohere Transcribe has completely dethroned Parakeet for multi-lingual dictation for me. It transcribes English and German perfectly and instantly running completely locally on my M1 Max MacBook Pro. Quality and speed you'd only get with cloud models before 🤯
Fighting all day to get @zenitizer.bsky.social to play nicely with #SiriAI. All this worked so well with "Old Siri" via #Shortcuts / #AppIntents but this is a lot trickier 😞 At least querying, playing and stopping meditations through media playback schema works now 😅 #iOSDev #iOS27 #Siri
For my fellow iOS nerds living on the edge: how's #iOS27 beta 3 been in day-to-day use? Any dealbreaker issues for you that weren't on beta 1 already? Still on beta 1 myself, deciding whether to upgrade or not haha 🫣
Apple's post-WWDC event in Berlin was such a blast! Great energy, interesting presentations and a chance to hang out with folks from the amazing #iOSDev community 🤗 One of my highlights were the inspiring talks by fellow indies @strasser.bsky.social and @leomehlig.bsky.social 👏
Ah man, not even made it to 50% of #iOS27 #Spotlight indexing… Anyone done already? How's spotlight and mail search for you in practice? Hope it's going to be a notable improvement 🤞 Thanks to @9to5mac.com for sharing the log line to filter for 🤓 9to5mac.com/2026/06/15/still-...
As an #iOSDeveloper, I gotta say that #DeviceHub has been a huge productivity boost in those few days since #Xcode27 was released! All simulators in one window, quick access to accessibility settings and mirroring + controlling physical test devices 🤯 It is a real game changer IMO 🤓
So I've been doing this whole spiel long enough to know better than installing developer seed one on my daily driver iPhone… And just like every year, I do it anyways. 🫠 So far no regrets actually 🤞
Did you catch the WWDC Swift Group Lab session? It was great! But, there wasn't time for all the questions. So I copied them down and took a shot at answering some. www.massicotte.org/blog/wwdc26-...
(Some) Unanswered Swift Group Questions
Here's my attempt at answers to some Swift Group Lab session questions that there wasn't time for.

Wait, are there no individual labs this year? #WWDC26 State of the union is over, normally the schedule and sign up would open now, wouldn't it?
They did it. The sidebars on #macOS !!! 😱 🥲 I told myself not to install beta seed 1 for any fancy new features… I might do it just for the sidebars hahah 🫠 🔥
Less than 20 hours to go until the keynote starts! So excited 🍿 Wishing everyone who gets to be there in person an amazing time! Can't make it myself, but watching virtually with friends helps a little with the FOMO 🥲 #WWDC26
Me, grocery shopping: Not buying snacks, so we only have healthy food at home. So smart💡 Me at 10pm: Okay let's see… we got butter, sugar and a frying pan to make some caramel and then throw in some almond chips and pine nuts 👨🍳 Past me isn't feeling so smart anymore. But it turned out delish 🤷♂️
Making sure everyone can use your app is a great first step, but allowing everyone to have a great time using it is the actual goal. I hope the last few weeks of accessibility polish on @daylish.bsky.social got me a couple steps closer to that goal 😊 #a11y #iOSDev #BuildInPublic
Happy #GlobalAccessibilityAwarenessDay! Daylish was always built with accessibility in mind, but I challenged myself to find and fix as many rough edges as I could across Apple's accessibility tools, from VoiceOver to Dynamic Type. LMK how 1.7 feels and works for you 😊 #GAAD #Accessibility
Hey everyone 👋 I'm in the final stages of wrapping up a big #accessibility update for @daylish.bsky.social in time for this year's #GAAD Looking for more #TestFlight users (esp. #a11y folks, but everyone is welcome) 🤗

I’ve been working on some accessibility adjustments, and couldn’t get the exact result I wanted using ViewThatFits, but the simple AccessibleStack in this excellent post by @useyourloaf.com did the trick. useyourloaf.com/blog/swiftui...

How do you adapt your SwiftUI layouts for varying dynamic type size and available horizontal space?

@soapboxsoftware.bsky.social we got cross-reply and cross-quote in Indigo which is amazing but I can't seem to figure out how to cross-like a post? (Bonus points if we can set that as the default action for the 🩵 button)
Probably obvious to most #iOS devs out there but when you're working on #VoiceOver, it really helps to challenge yourself to use your app with eyes closed while iterating on the UI. That'll make the VO #accessibility pain points and rough edges *very* notable!
Super useful set of SF symbols if you want to link out to your apps' social profiles 🤓 Thank you for your wonderful work @jeremieberduck.bsky.social 👏 Using your symbols in both of my apps: @zenitizer.bsky.social and @daylish.bsky.social
Social Symbols 2.0.1 release is on with requests/reports from the community: 1. Update Threads with the new logo 2. New WhatsApp 3. New Pixelfed github.com/jeremieb/soc...
Okay, so cross-quoting is a thing now too, eh? Sorry @kylehugh.es, I just wanted to try this feature out and your post is funny and describes how I feel about the whole thing so you're being quoted out of context 😅
Having my Mastodon and Bluesky timelines together has the spontaneous joy of two unbeknownst friend groups meeting and the existential horror of living across two planes of existence that can't see each other.
🎙️ Obligatory "is this thing on" post… If you can read this, sending posts via Indigo by @soapboxsoftware.bsky.social works smoothly for me 🤓 The (completely free!) reader experience has already phenomenal so far - such a wonderful way to stay in sync with both timelines 🦋 🐘 💜
As a one-person company, I gotta wear all the hats, even the boring ones: Q2 accounting's due Monday evening 🫣. I could wrap it up tonight, but it's been a busy and productive week... I know it's cliche to procrastinate this until the last moment, but I'm just not feeling it.
