Anyone remember when the Crew rejected a Toulouse offer less than half of this amount, and were alleged, by some, to be 'holding him hostage' and thus holding back the USMNT? To be fair, that was one whole year ago, it can be pretty hard to recall such ancient history

Max Arfsten joins Middlesbrough from Columbus Crew - Transfer details revealed Story for @transfermarkt.co.uk www.transfermarkt.us/max-arfsten-...

"Sources with knowledge of the scheme say the intention was for Infantino to become the chief executive or commissioner after his presidency, with a basic salary — before any bonuses — of $30million (about £22.2million) a year". Gianni Infantino clinging to power as efforts to oust him intensify

Support is flooding away from the Fifa president, who will likely be asked to resign at emergency council meeting and is scrambling to establish base of backers

Statement by the FIFA President. The proposal to sell the World Cup is dead. This sounds like a last straw to keep hanging on to his presidency. Despite this, it’s pretty clear to say that Infantino needs to be removed now. Hopefully all stake holders keep up the pressure.

Statements flying everywhere. Here is FIFA’s response posted at 8:15pm Pacific Time. “Nono we never wanted to sell the game.” “Hear us out. We were rushed by media reports.” This is the biggest trying to back off without backing off statement I have seen in some time.

Actual meaningful opposition to Infantino’s World Cup plan. UEFA threatening a World Cup boycott as long as his plan to sell a stake of the tournament remain in place. Let’s be clear. The World Cup is worthless without the big European countries.
