We should have legislation that ties MLA and municipal salaries to minimum wage. Every Time one goes up x percent, so does the other.

We’re adding bike boulevards and more pedestrian space on Bergen and Dean Street, from Court Street to East New York Ave. It was a wonderful kind of day.

Sundance@sundance.bikesky.social · 3mo agoAfter rewatching this video there’s a couple of things to note. -The entire climb is < 1 minute -Cars passing save no time and stop in traffic at top -On coming cars would have forced two pinch points between parked cars and moving ones. Flag prevented these. -This is normal everyday…

Wow BC is staying on permanent DST! Meanwhile Saskatchewan stays on permanent Standard time. I had been rooting for permanent standard time for all. If Manitoba gets permanent DST I will just wait and get up with the sun in the winter.

When citizens got out shovels to clear bike lanes in Winnipeg last year, instead of a thanks from the City, they were threatened that they were a safety risk and needed to leave.

Urban Design Fail. Land levels are higher than sidewalk so water from downspout drains (directly or indirectly) to sidewalk. Then it freezes & we have an icy section like this at almost every house. Slush now, very difficult to navigate when frozen. @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social #ActiveTransportation
Unless it is for medical reasons, there should be a fine for stepping down before your Parliament or Legislative terms ends. The fine could be equal to the cost of a by election.

My wish for 2026 is more km of protected bike lanes. Most especially on the routes I most use. Would love to be able to go 2 or 5 km to the store without having to worry and fear I will get hit. Imagine a life where you can commute by choice without fear of loss of life or injury.
Sidewalks on Rothesay were plowed quite well, except for mounds piled at intersections. So yeah I moved to running on the road to get groceries home. @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social
