Beer, especially Belgian lover. Mountain biker. EV driver
I've sat on this beer for long enough. It's hopefully a bit special and it certainly popped like champagne. Chorus Fine English Sparkling Beer. From Pig Beer.
Big day of gardening from 10 until nearly 6 tonight and still feels like we've not done that much. Time for a proper beer
It's all in the colour, french cider just has the most amazing colour. Warm, rich, honey, toffee apple. Just the most appealing of drink colours.
French cider nearly as much of a minefield as UK cider but pur jus usually a sign that it real cider but still have a feeling Kerisac is 'macro' anyway this ones not bad. Not as sweet as some.
Busy old day, took Vicky to a couple of Sunflower places this morning and then a big afternoon of gardening with more to come tomorrow. Hydrating with a few blanches.
Well for a first effort it's not a bad beer fest, certainly been to worse. Venues a little odd but it's being organized by the masons and hosted at the masonic lodge. Beer selection is ok if not mind blowing (depending on your thang).
Am I being tight? Local beer fest this weekend, 15 quid per person seems alot, that's 30 quid just to get through the door all be it with a tenners worth of beer tokens although Vicky doesn't do beer...
For someone who isn't really an IPA fan I seem to have come back from France with a lot of IPAs.
Quite happy with that, screen grabs of unedited Hummingbird Hawk Moth and Jersey Tiger Moth (rare visitor, there were at least three in the garden today). Both absolutely beautiful.
Celebration beer. Kyle's Citroen c1 has gone today. Never sold a car privately before. Very nerve wracking
Busy day doing a lot of domestic sorting out and collecting / shifting alot of heavy furniture. Probably deserves a slightly better beer than this.
An impressive number of Humming Bird Hawk Moths in the garden all of a sudden. Obviously camera is in the house with the wrong lens on it.
Not a fan of all the different Goudale varieties they produce these days but the original is still a decent enough beer.
Quite the stage finale. Really hope he is just a machine and nothing more. Clearly had a plan and executed to perfection.
Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface
Another downside to this long dry and hot spell round here is even more False Widows spiders than normal. Literally everywhere around the decking rather than the usual dark corners. Nerve calming beer needed.
Not a massive tdf fan these days, but that's a good stage win today, some proper cycling.
Looks like we are going to do Amsterdam and Bruges in early December so let summer 2027 planning commence. Going eastish to try and avoid the heat a little. Belgium into Germany. For some reason we don't have a great track record with Germany.
It's Thursday night, first week back at work. Perfect time for a french super market find. And actually it's ok it's a triple by numbers but I've certainly purchased worse.
surely the best help for pubs is to make me feel less poor, so that 15 quid for a pint, a medium wine and a packet of pork scratchings doesnt feel expensive and I can stay for more than one round? £1100 a year off business rates is sod all really (3 quid a day saved)
Oof I did 1000m climb today on Zwift. Tdf coverage said they have 12000m to do in the next 3 days.
Suspect I might not be starting my first day back at work tomorrow feeling totally refreshed and up and at em.
Back home again. Reasonable restock on some old favourites. Super market beer selection definitely much reduced from a few years ago and also pushing french beer over Belgian which is fair enough.
The colour of french cidre really is the colour of evening sunshine.
Stuck in the bar whilst this storm passes over. For shame.
After a few days of moving around it's Mont St Michel today. Absolutely heaving and far too humid for all those steps!
