Saw the #Hadestown pro-shot in theaters tonight and was blown away. What a moving play about the human condition, relationships and love that we can all relate to. There's more to the musical than I realized from listening to the album!

One of the great joys of my adult life has been realizing that I can just pick up a new skill every so often, take a fun little class in it weekly for a year or two, and simply enjoy meeting people and getting medium proficient and not attempting to become professional in it at all!

Writing a book is so weird because before it’s released there are half a dozen REALLY IMPORTANT DEADLINES for drafts & edits and each completely consumes you & is impossible to explain. “I just spent 72 hours locked in a room doing my copy edit review; I forgot what the sky looks like” “…congrats?”

For writers worried that they won't be able to "prove" their work isn't Spicy Autocomplete--worry not. You thought about every choice and will be able to talk about those choices easily and clearly. Folks who used the slop machine didn't make choices and won't have anything to say about why

Finished #writing chapter 1 of the sequel to The Mercury Relay! 6,205 words. Working on a title, what are we thinking of "The Decoupling of the Dragon’s Scales"? Dragon to symbolize chaos and a sci-fi / fantasy fusion vibe, with the nod to the familiar science concept of the decoupling of scales. 🙂
