With our @cordap.bsky.social funded COSMARINDO project we train Indonesian students in how to monitor coral reproduction. Arin during her BA thesis experiment for which she is testing the biodegradable BESE paste as binding agent for different settlement substrate types for coral planulae.

The first coral spawning season of the year is beginning. Yesterday a spawn slick washed ashore.... unfortunately mixed up with the usual rubbish at that beach. But this first indicator is a good sign that a lot of corals will follow on day 5 and 6 after full moon.
