In 1997, I went to North Dakota to learn more about Mandan and Hidatsa cultures. At the time, there were maybe 40 people left who spoke Mandan, 30 who spoke Hidatsa. The curator of the Knife River Museum was recording them for preservation. www.npr.org/2026/07/26/n...

#BLA26 was a good platform for Statista to speak about how they are also integrating AI into their product offerings. A flexible service which can be embedded into Copilot and other AI tools.

#BLA26 featured a powerful presentation from Coventry University about their almost complete switch to Open Educational Research. An obvious impact on finance but also a new way of allowing students and lecturers to compile content.

#bla26 wrapped academic content with presentations by EBSCO and Clarivate about their new or forthcoming products, both which feature the use of AI for finding their material.
