First game for Florian Wirtz playing for Juergen Klopp’s Germany. Got a brilliant assist, that was inches away from being an actual goal and then scored a great one himself. Amazing what playing for probably the best man manager in the game of football can do for a players confidence.

Does it get anymore screwed up than this?! Two failed attempts to execute her and now she’s in hospital on life saving drugs. Presumably they want to save her so they can try to execute her again 🤷‍♂️ It’s a good metaphor for the state of America right now. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike survives execution attempt after two injections

Her lawyer says she is being given "life-saving measures" in hospital after two syringes of pentobarbital.

It’s 13 years to the day since I retired. I was 56. The time has literally flown & my advice to everyone is to retire at the earliest opportunity. We weren’t put here to work until we drop & money isn’t everything. Health & fitness are the most important & you need both to fully enjoy retirement 1/2

I just read the Premier League statement about the scope & scale of Manchester City’s cheating. They shouldn’t be relegated to Division 2. They should be kicked out of football. If any of their deluded fans still think they haven’t done anything wrong, they are as bad as the club they support.

City thinking that they shouldn’t be severely punished for systematic cheating because of all the good they do for the local economy is similar to when Savile thought all the marathons he ran for charity should make people welcome all the noncing.

A Sky TV journalist reporting from Portadown in the pouring rain about the planned march and the opposition to it. Describing the situation as a “stand-off” “A Northern Ireland stand-off is just like a Mexican stand-off but with more rain” 🙂👏

Remember in the 80’s when Swindon Town were punished for breaking league/financial/betting rules. What they did was literally a drop in the ocean compared to 115 FC. And then came the criminal charges. Someone at the Etihad is sweating tonight.

This guilty verdict for 115FC should result in a 10 point deduction for every season they cheated AND compensation for teams that were relegated who dropped crucial points against them. They can start by awarding us the title that was decided by this.

This is a bad idea in a number of ways. Apart from the risk of dickheads throwing their pint in the air when a goal is scored. Imagine someone having a pint in a plastic glass when a goal is scored in a big game. If that person was stood behind you, you’d probably end up with it down your neck.
