Pretty good! I appreciated how the book was nerdy and well researched but didn't feel like it was talking down to the reader (pov being a school teacher helped). But Weir needed to cut like 100 pages. 3 or 4 major things happened after the main climax and they all felt extraneous.
Despite the main character being The Most autistic person ever, there is still a lot to relate to Like how she only feels like a person when she's given a script at work. I get it. Honestly I still kinda miss working a service job (book was good too, more of a novella really)

Spent about 20 minutes swinging around New York in the latest Spider-Man game and It's such a shame that Insomniac's only game for the next five years is gonna be the sophomoric depiction of violence that is Wolverine rather than capitalizing on their amazing movement tech and city design

This did an interesting thing where it told the history by way of the most important games. So the history of Mario, then Zelda, Kirby, etc. Some really interesting tidbits in here Also, and I'm the only person who cares, but I was the first person to check this out from my library which is neat

Liked this one! Really interesting tale of a world in decline. It's both a metaphor for fascist police states destroying themselves, and for the horrors of memory loss. Part of me continues to wonder how it reads in the original Japanese, but the English translation was still good
This was fine. My mom wanted me to read it. Really short but even then I was getting tired of it. A bit preechy and quite repetitive. Really old book though, had a musty smell that I liked This particular book is older than than the novella was when it was printed. Only I think this is interesting!

I really, Really, liked Severance. This is immediately an all time fav It's an apocalypse story, but it's actually about the cycles of daily life. The dangers of chasing nostalgia. The pains of finding a place in the world. All while crafting a narrative that is incredibly gripping.
Despite being incredibly excited, it took me a long time to get into Hades II. Which made me want to analyze why. Was the sequel too much of the same? youtu.be/IZ-niUSjMfA
