I've been a 1Password user for years and I've accumulated a lot of cruft accounts online. I vibe coded a utility this morning that helps speed up deletion of some of these old accounts.

Turned on morning news to hear a local official somewhere say “our people can’t be out on the road to do what they need because of all the ice on the roads” and am not sure if this is a weather quote or a federal government overreach quote.

If the state can label a law-abiding citizen doing nothing but exercising their rights as a domestic terrorist – in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary – then no one (regardless of political persuasion) is safe.

We started a sous vide pork leg roast yesterday. As we opened it up for dinner, I commented that this has been cooking all year. My new year's resolution to use fewer dad jokes has already collapsed.

Christmas decorations packed up. Canlis salad, brown butter scallops, and champagne consumed. On to 2026! May this upcoming year be interesting!

Would it be vandalism if I run around the neighborhood replacing outdoor light fixtures that have cold color temperature bulbs or CCF bulbs with warm temperature LEDs or incandescents?

Cat. 5 storms reach 157–192 mph, scientists propose a new Category 6 for speeds over 192mph, these are rare but as "climate change increases temperature and moisture, which are the sources of energy for hurricanes, the number of powerful storms is expected to increase" www.pbsnc.org/blogs/scienc....

Do We Need a “Category 6” for Hurricanes? | PBS North Carolina

A new category for hurricane intensity may be needed as storms become more fierce due to climate change.

Following up on my staking set restoration that went well, I decided I would clean the tarnish off my Jacot tool and it cleaned up nicely. A friend is currently doing some repairs to the box it lives in. Before and after shots. #horology #watchrepair

I think I’m officially old enough that there’s an inherent conflict to the tried and true “hydrate and sleep” strategy to getting over flu-like illnesses. I hydrated so much I had to get up 4 times overnight to pee, so my rest overnight was terrible.
