Creative Writing and Humanities instructor|MSc Psychology|If you need me, I'm either writing something or playing D&D

Maybe I've been writing for so long that I see plots where they don't exist, but I wonder if this whole AI Witch Hunt might be for the purpose of fatiguing writers so deeply that we all just quit fighting it. IF writers were fatigued to this point it wouldn't be their fault.

This AI scandal is a sign to the rest of us to be vigilant about protecting yourself by documenting the previous versions of your MS with time stamps. There are also free (with character limits) tools that record you typing in real time & show if you've used AI. What a time to be an artist.

These are the DND, MTG, comic con, story-loving folks I'd call if I got good news. They'd celebrate the hardest. They'd hide me in the soft protection of their love if I needed to heal. For decades, they've listened to me dream out loud about being published & never shamed me for continuing to try.

Circe's scene was chef's kiss. Circe's justification for turning the men is key to enlightening Odysseus to the source of societal collapse: men using "the quest" as permission to act out their true desires.

Worked up the courage to dive into a novel I wrote more than 10 years ago, and I am half way through edits and OMG this is so dang good, y'all. Don't give up on those drawer books. They may just need time for you to grow and believe in yourself!

Hey friends, don't forget to stretch, drink water (however you can get it down) sleep guilt-free when you need it, get sunlight, belly breath (just try it; you won't regret it), and do something good for your body every day. We need to stay strong in order to be the good.

I received an email from a former Creative Writing student saying she'd self published. I GUSHED with praise. Then they followed up to say they "wrote" it with AI & are selling it on Amazon. They were my student long before the potential of AI was realized. I was gentle, but I had to be honest.

Great books this #Q #A #R comps to—actually, not quite: ~Berlin Calling ~Either/Or ~It Happened One Summer ~Normal People ~One Italian Summer ~The Paris Connection ~The Spanish Love Deception ~Anything by Emily Henry 😉 Don't see the link? Read it. IYKYK. #UnhingedPit

🧃Anti-Pitch🧃 Not for agents who want closure, kindness, or knowing who the villain is. If you want healing, hope, or heroines—turn back. This one’s for the voyeurs. The ones who celebrate friendship curdling. No one calls for help as the soft horror unfolds. It doesn’t end well. #unhingedpit #T #Q

A minimalist graphic featuring a bold red “do not” symbol (a circle with a diagonal slash) placed above the words “EVERYTHING I GAVE HER” in all-caps black text. The background is off-white with a slight textured effect, giving it a stark and unsettling tone.
