I flocked up the 3mm Viking camp and it’s now looking really nice. I love the way the base tells a story and feels alive.
Viking camp for Chivalry and Honour. It probably needs a few more bases and ships as well as some flock to texture the base but it’s painted up at least! 3mm figures.
We will be running an inaugural participation game of Chivalry and Honour at Colours in Newbury on 5th September based around a battle to be decided from the Norman Conquest. Please pop by and say hello or join in and roll a few dice with us.

I stumbled across photos of a game i put on at Kublacon in 2023. 10mm fantasy. Need to try this with Midgard this year.
William brings up his cavalry on the right flank as the Saxons leave the safety of the hill to counterattack the weakened Norman centre. While the Norman infantry in the centre falters under the pressure, William’s knights manage to bludgeon their way through the Saxon shieldwall and breaking them.
Leofwine’s fyrdsmen are caught out but the Norman and Breton cavalry, but he manages to retire back up the hill suffering losses. In the pursuit Eustace of Bolougne is wounded and dragged to safety.
More Chivalry and Honour playtesting tonight. It’ll be Viking battles in September ready for the Shieldwall event.

Earlier this year at our Lardy Day "CAHAGIYTYLE 2026”, I ran a 1940 scenario involving the 53e Battalion de Chasseurs Alpins and their fierce defence of the Normandy village of Biville-la-Baignarde from Schützen Regiment 13. Scenario available free on my blog. Enjoy! #spreadthelard #wargaming

More 10mm HYW - French cavalry, men-at-arms, and crossbowmen. Command stands for Agincourt, Shrewsbury, and Bauges: L>R Lafayette, Stafford, Alencon, Prince Hal, and Brabant. And a trebuchet. Why not? All Wargames Atlantic apart from the trebuchet, which is Pendraken. #wargaming
Had a cracking day at #WestMidLards today. Managed to run three games of #strength&honour and despite mangling a few rules, everybody had a great time and really enjoyed the rules. A few converts I think… Thanks for hosting @maraviglia.bsky.social was a brilliant day and loads of fun.
Bifrost miniatures Dwarf Command figures for an Imperial Dwarf elite unit. Great figures!
Ta! I got to play a full game of Strength and honour and a half game of it too. You've made something a bit good there y'know!

A bit more Chivalry and Honour playtesting. Not quite got the archery right yet but think we have resolved it.
Finally, the brave Sir Loin the Greedy to lead some of my Imperial Dwarfs. He carries his trusty axe “Steakmaker”. Figure by Bifrost Miniatures. He’s 28mm obviously not 3mm. Yes, I paint bigger figures too.
A better photo of the routing base I finished earlier in the week. I’ve got several of these to do still.
Bishop Odo with his club in hand supported by his lads and a few monks and a lesser Norman bishop on foot. God wills it!
William of Normandy is done. Just Eustace of Bolougne to paint now with the papal banner for the Norman commanders.
Gyrth Godwinson and his housecarls done today in 3mm.
