Much of my career boils down to: All code is liability. Minimize it. Feedback loops are everywhere. Speed them up; do them more. We're bad at predicting the future. Avoid it. More tests. Hire smart, motivated people, then get out of their way. Find the right thing to turn off and on again.

Everyone loooooves data ownership until you have to move Donβt believe what big atproto tells you, records are NOT portable

Love this idea! Definitely going to look in to it for our kids!

Today, I set up synchub.to in my repos (previously used a GitHub action to sync repos to @tangled.org). The DX is just such a breeze. Thank you @danielroe.dev for always creating exactly the side projects that people currently need.

Wow. So much going on in this photo. Great shot. πΈπ
Direct hit from Dupont Circle.
i want to spread the word about atproto. if youβre running a podcast, iβd be happy to hop in to talk about it. i understand it decently well and can explain it without much jargon. itβs one of the most interesting developments in the last 30 years of web, and i can defend that. please dm to set up!
Really great start at explaining @atproto.com to a non-technical audience. Excited to see the rest of the series @gui.do! π
Started a 7-part blog series, explaining ATproto to people outside the ecosystem. Part 1: Who actually owns your network? gui.do/post/atproto...
@zed.dev is there a good example of using Zed with a local LLM (ollama, etc)? All the ones Iβve tried seem to be having issues with Zedβs tool calling but asking Claude and Googling hasnβt been able to figure out whatβs wrong with my config. May open an issue, but thought I should ask first.
Does this mean Iβm a βboffinβ? ππ§π»βπ»
if you could save a search in the Bluesky app and pin it so it shows up as a tab on your home screen, would you?
If there's one thing I hope Apple addresses before the final OS 27 release...
Here's an easter egg in the new Lego Batman that I think all of you will REALLY appreciate. It's so good, I had to make a video.
we're looking to better understand how people use @tangled.org and what's getting in your way if you're up for a 15/30-min chat about your experience, drop a reply to this post or dm me! you can even book a session directly if you feel like it: cal.com/ebf-tangled/...

Really interesting to hear about some of the things holding the Apple TV back. The Apple TV has always seemed like a waste of a lot of gaming potential, especially with Apple Arcade behind it.
tvOS 27 is Appleβs chance to finally fix Apple TV gaming, hereβs how
I really relate to the sentiment in this article. AI coding agents have made me feel more productive, but the coding sessions themselves can often be more intense, and I feel more drained at the end of the day. #ai #vibecoding #burnout #sustainability
AI-assisted engineers are burning out, is this fine?βMartian Chronicles, Evil Martiansβ team blog
AI-assisted code generation is not free. It comes with a hidden cost: burnout. Are we dangerously ignorant to this problem? And how can we cope with it? In this post, we discuss this question.

Curious how many doctors are using these same systems in Alberta.
The fact that the Ontario government recommended AI summary systems with such obvious and potentially patient-harming flaws should give pause to any doctors (or their patients) making use of them.
A Codepen alternative strikes me as a really cool @atproto.com project. Perhaps with some @tangled.org integration for storing the content? Anyone seen any work in this space already?
Still got Private Pens and they work the same way, but now there is π password protected Pens and ποΈ invite-only Pens.
I can't stop thinking about this video since I saw it last night
